The Journey urn has been handcrafted using water soluble biodegradable paper making it ideal for water burial. The adult version of this urn has a capacity of 3.6 litres meaning it can carry the ashes of an adult which weighed up to 100 kilograms.
The urn has been sustainably created using bark obtained from a Mulberry Tree through an ancient harvesting technique. This method does not damage the tree allowing it to continue to grow unharmed. The resulting paper is completely biodegradable, natural and soft to the touch. Its slim envelope type shape makes it very convenient to travel with and it can be taken on most commercial airlines as hand luggage.
Inside the urn there is a water soluble bag for you to safely put your loved ones ashes in from the side. After placing the urn and its precious contents on the surface of the water, within a short period of time it will become completely submerged. Shortly after this the urn and your loved ones ashes will begin to dissipate within the water until it completely disappears.

Our Himalayan Rock Salt urns come with a water soluble bag to place the ashes into. This biodegradable urn has been specifically designed for water burial. Place your angel’s ashes into the biodegradable bag within the urn, after putting the urn into the body of water of your choosing it will quick submerge down to the ocean, river or lake bed where it will naturally begin to dissolve.
The natural rock salts may take up to four hours to completely dissolve and disperse your loved one’s ashes, though this may vary depending on the movement of the water and the weather conditions.
